Peace for All Humanity

Yoga means union, and it is that state when your life of action and thought are in harmony with the very source of your being. When the word yoga is mentioned many people think of physical postures for relaxing, stretching and strengthening the body. This is one aspect of the art of yoga. The hatha poses were primarily designed to facilitate the authentic practice of yoga, namely, the understanding and mastery over the mind, so yoga can be described as the science of the mind. It is an honour to share the teachings of Integral Yoga and a privilege to impart the wisdom of its founder Swami Satchidananda. His broad, encompassing vision was based on mutual understanding among men and women of all backgrounds, toward the experience of peace for all humanity.

Guru Purnima Chant in Sandringham – Celebrate 50 Years of Integral Yoga

Integral Yoga teaches ise the spiritual unity behind all the diversities in the entire creation, and to live harmoniously as members of one universal family. We will chant mantras from the Integral Yoga kirtan. Chanting calms the nerves, purifies the emotions, heals the body and opens the heart. No chanting or yoga experience is required. Family and friends are especially welcome. This special event will be held at Shanthi’s home studio in Sandringham. Please liaise with me for bookings or directions.

Meditation is increasingly being recognised by the western medical establishment as a major component in health and wellness. Regular practice helps us cope with stress, improve health, unlock creativity and more!  These classes are suitable for new students and seasoned meditators wishing to enhance their practice. To develop a clear understanding and to derive the maximum benefits you are encouraged to book for both sessions, however you may attend either class on a casual basis. The Golden Present – Winter Group Meditation

Live in the golden present and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering. In our daily lives we may experience a vast array of conflicting thoughts and emotions that keep us separate from the natural joyful state of expressing and experiencing our true self. Being fully aware in the present moment helps us to live fully in peace, joy, love and bliss. This meditation will explore deep insights and profound ways to reduce stress, to uncover awareness of the true self and to celebrate that awareness at all times, in all places, under all circumstances. Slow Down! Retreat Day with Marie and Shanthi in St Kilda Road

Saturday 15 October 9:30am-5:00pm, Early bird $90/85 concession by 17 September

Sometimes slowing down is the most precious gift we can give ourselves. Slow down and be! This retreat is designed for all ages and levels of experience. To derive the maximum benefits you are encouraged to attend for the whole day, although bookings may be accepted for the morning or afternoon only. A nourishing hot lunch is included, catering to all dietary requests. Space is limited and bookings are essential. A deposit of $50 is required to confirm your commitment and secure a place. Federal Election

The hall will be used as a polling centre on Saturday 2 July and no hatha yoga classes can be held.
