Take the time to be fully present and aware. Regular periods of hatha yoga and meditation provide opportunities to focus inward, to notice the natural impulses in our body towards health and balance, and to listen to that wise voice within. Turning inside to connect with our natural wisdom is not only nourishing and enjoyable, but also efficient and effective. We may find that solutions to problems come effortlessly, sudden clarity may emerge, or a spontaneous realisation leaves us with a completely new understanding of a situation. Practising yoga together creates a balanced energy that deepens our experience of inner harmony. The more focussed the group, the more powerful the effects. I hope to see you at class again soon.

Eclipse of the Heart! – Saturday 4 April, 9.00-10.30am, $20/ $18 concession or use your class card

Allow the lunar eclipse to inspire you to open your heart to yourself and to others. We will flow through the basic Integral Yoga hatha sequence with a sincere focus on expanding the heart centre. Hatha yoga empowers each of us on our journey to health and wholeness. When practised with an open heart the essence of the yoga teachings encourage us to embrace the peace that is our true nature. Restorative Yoga in Sandringham – Sunday 12 April, 3.00-4.15pm, $20/$18 concession

Restorative yoga is the practice of specific asanas with the body fully supported by pillows, bolsters and blankets. In the supported state, yoga poses can be held for a longer time, enhancing their therapeutic benefits and helping you rest deeply and completely. Suitable for people with various conditions and especially relaxing for those in good health, new and experienced students are welcome.

Autumn Group Meditation – Saturday 18 April, 10.30-11.00am, $5

As the leaves change their colour and flutter from the trees, delicate light and free, our personal autumn rhythms encourage us to let go of anything that is holding us back. Befriend yourself and explore the deeper layers of your being. Meditation calms the mind and exposes the natural peace within. It acts as a clearing and cleansing process leaving us mentally refreshed and relaxed. With practice, we carry this state of mind with us all through our daily life. Group meditation creates a powerful energy which deepens the experience of inner harmony. No experience is necessary and brief instructions will be included. Developing Your Home Practice Workshop in Sandringham – Saturday 2 May, 9.15-10.45am, $10

Not sure how to practice yoga at home? Already practicing but wanting to extend and stay motivated? In this discussion based workshop, suitable for both new and experienced students, you will learn how to establish a home practice, overcome common obstacles and be inspired to keep progressing.

Full Moon Hatha Yoga – Monday 4 May, 6.00-7.30pm, $20/$18 or use your class pass

The energy of the full moon inspires us to open our heart to ourselves and to others. We have the power to create each and every moment of our daily and spiritual life to reflect our authentic self. The auspicious energy of the full moon and the company of others sharing a similar vision will help facilitate the awareness of the calm and stillness within. Soft candlelight will set a hushed tone, and we will flow through the foundational Integral Yoga class with an emphasis on harmonising the practices with the natural qualities of peace associated with our true nature. Chanting in Sandringham – Sunday 24 May, 3.00-4.30pm, $10 and $15 for families

Chanting is a joyful way to quiet the mind, open the heart and connect with your inner voice. This session will focus on simple phrases in Sanskrit and other ancient languages, which help bring us into harmony and more fully experience our innate peace and happiness. All are welcome and no prior chanting or yoga experience is required.

Classes as Usual

Classes will be held as usual during the school break, over the Easter weekend and on Anzac Day. Perhaps the holidays will provide the option of adding an extra class to your schedule.
