Just Be!


With a heart full of love and gratitude for the yoga teachings we share, I wish you a peaceful and meaningful transition into 2014. Saturday Hatha Yoga in St Kilda Road

Saturday 11 January, 9.00 – 10.30am, $19 / $17 concession or use your card

Practising yoga is rich with opportunities to discover your strengths and explore your inner calm. This hatha yoga class will be held at my home. If the school holidays afford you some extra time, you are invited to stay for a chat and a light nibble after class. Numbers are restricted, so please contact me for bookings, the location and further details.

Restorative Yoga in Sandringham

Saturday 18 January, 9.30 – 10.45am, $19 / $17 concession

Restorative yoga is the practice of certain asanas with the body fully supported by pillows, bolsters and blankets. In the supported state, yoga poses can be held for a longer time, enhancing their therapeutic benefits and helping you rest deeply and completely. Suitable for people with various conditions and especially relaxing for those in good health, new and experienced students are welcome. Held at Shanthi’s home studio, space is limited and bookings are essential. For the address, to book, or find out more, please liaise with me.

Monday Hatha Yoga in St Kilda Road

Monday 27 January, 6.00 – 7.30pm, $19 / $17 concession or use your card

Hatha yoga builds healthy bodies and peaceful minds. You are invited to attend class at my home on the Australia Day public holiday. If you have some extra time because of the long weekend, you are welcome to arrive early and use the extra time to ask questions, stretch, relax or meditate before we start. As space is limited, bookings are required. Please contact me for directions to my home or for further information.

Thursday Hatha Yoga in Mt Waverley

Thursdays 9, 16, 23 and 30 January, 7.00 – 8.30pm, $19 / $17 concession or use your card

Group Meditation

Saturday 15 February, 10.30 – 11.00am, $5

Silent meditation calms the mind and exposes the natural peace within. It acts as a clearing and cleansing process leaving us mentally refreshed and relaxed. With practice, we carry this state of mind with us all through our daily life. The auspicious energy of the full moon, and the company of others sharing a similar vision, will help facilitate an awareness of calm and stillness. Whether you have some meditation experience or none at all, you and your friends are welcome. Seating options include chairs, stools and cushions. Please let me know if you plan to come or have any questions.


Beginners Yoga Workshop

Saturday 22 February 10.30am – 12.00noon, $65 / $60 concession includes 4 free classes

This session is for new and returning students who would like to learn the basic poses in a workshop setting. The asanas will be personalised to suit each student in accordance with their particular needs and abilities. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and receive individual feedback. Every student will receive a card entitling them to attend 4 free classes from the regular timetable by 31 March. This is an effective way to investigate the flow of the Integral Yoga hatha sequence, or to motivate a return to regular classes after a long break. Please share the information about this economical opportunity with your family and friends.


Awakening around Roses

14-22 February at G3 Artspace, 64 Parkers Road, Parkdale

On awakening from a coma following emergency brain surgery, former Thursday student Michelle Endersby, was presented with an inspiring vision. She found herself in a beautiful light-filled garden, an image that hastened her recovery and illuminated her path forward as an artist. This experience is the inspiration behind her current body of work which presents a series of contemporary portraits of roses on circular canvases, each one an individual mandala for contemplation. Rosebuds are a metaphor for dreams which can either wither or open in full bloom. The intention of this art exhibition is to arouse an awakening in others. Congratulations Michelle.


Hall Renovations

The church folk are resurfacing the floor during January, necessitating a break from classes at the hall. As an alternative, you are invited to attend the home classes as detailed above.
